1983 Suzuki RA125
Featured here is a 1983 Suzuki RA125. The bike belongs to Ed Tashjian in California. The bike was raced by Eric Geboers in the 1983 125 GP World Championships. This would be his second 125cc Title and the tenth in a row for Suzuki.
This bike is fairly complete and original though Ed is still tracking down a few parts to finish the project off.
Thanks again Ed for featuring your bike on vintageworksbikes.com!
1986 Works Suzuki RA125
1986 Works Suzuki RA125
Featured here is Bob Moore’s 1986 works Suzuki RA125. Bob raced this bike in Europe in the 125 GP World Championship. He finished ninth after breaking his ankle.
I had an opportunity to speak with Bob about his career and this bike. Bob started racing Unable to secure a factory ride in the States, Bob moved to Europe where he secured a Factory ride with Team HB Suzuki. He was only 17 years old! During his race career in Europe, Bob came in second three times in World Championships (1990 and 1991 in the
125 class and in 1992 in the 250 class). Bob never gave up and he eventually won the 125 World Championship in 1994!
It was Bob’s belief that the bike was in as raced condition and exactly as he remembered it. Bob went on to say that the bikes he raced were very well built and that they all had the latest technology available. In 1986, the Production Rule went into effect in the United States. This rule, which in effect, placed restrictions on factory teams from producing “one off” race bikes, was not in effect in Europe under FIM rules! This RA125 is fine example of a true “works” bike and is in “as raced” condition.
Bob Moore was kind enough to sign the side panels of his bike. It was last raced in September 1986. Bob finished 9th in the 125GP World Championships that year….his first year in Europe!

Greg Albertyn’s Championship Ride
Featured here is Greg Albertyn’s factory Suzuki RH250
This is the bike Greg rode to clinch the 1994 World Championship. The Suzuki’s were known to be the fastest bikes on the GP circuit and with Greg aboard, what a combination.
This bike is full factory ride. The frame is a hand made RH frame, built to Greg’s specs and requirements. The steering geometry is tighter than standard, the frame is lighter than stock and all hand welded. The back bone of the frame is completely different to stock. The bike also features a factory swing arm, factory linkage and the forks are full factory as is the steering yokes. The steering stem is titanium. The rear wheel is a factory hub with a factory brake and rim. The alloy tank is hand fabricated and the exhaust is completely titanium. Reported to have cost over $10,000.
The engine is a pure factory power house unit. This motor was good enough to be used in the 95 RH as well as the early 96 RH bikes. All bolts and fasteners are titanium. Even the kickstart is one off due to Gregs knee braces rubbing the larger one.
The bike is started up regularly and sounds fantastic.
